Joanne Ortolan is an 11-year metastatic breast cancer survivor. Her cancer was diagnosed as stage IV. Even though the cancer has spread to her bones and other organs, Ortolan said, ‘I’m a medical miracle.’ She described her experience as a patient at Karmanos as like being with family. She spoke with Shannon Renee, a five-year breast cancer survivor and co-host of The Morning Bounce on 105.1 The Bounce, about her fight with breast cancer.
