The presentations will be followed by case-based panel discussions to put the plethora of emerging data into clinical perspective.

"We are very excited for this year’s symposium. This event is a vital endeavor, as the field of thoracic oncology is evolving at an unprecedented speed, marked by a surge in FDA-approved treatment options and an ever-growing number of clinical trials,” said Dr. Mamdani, medical oncologist, leader of the Thoracic Oncology Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), member of the Phase I Clinical Trials MDT, and member of the Molecular Therapeutics Research Program at Karmanos. “The symposium provides an invaluable platform for experts to dissect and interpret the latest data, empowering clinicians to navigate the complexities of this expanding field and to make individualized treatment decisions for patients with lung cancer.”

Dr. Mamdani serves as the program director of the annual Lung Cancer Symposium, a meeting of the minds she revived in 2023. She is also an associate professor in the Department of Oncology at Wayne State University (WSU) School of Medicine.

This year’s symposium will be held at Detroit Marriott Troy. Attendees may claim a maximum of 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™, depending on their extent of participation during the event.
