Exploring better ways to treat cancer
Our clinical and basic scientists work daily in their labs, testing new cancer therapies that will change the way we think of the disease. At any given time, Karmanos is conducting an average of 700 cancer-specific clinical trials and research projects, and caring for approximately 14,000 new patients annually. Our researchers study personalized medicine, where we target a specific gene makeup within the tumor to stop the cancer from spreading. These investigational treatments will strengthen the body's immune system, help the body fight off cancer cells and suppress the tumor, and lead to more cures. But we can't bring these revolutionary discoveries to cancer patients without support. That's where you can help!
