Sometimes, patients with multiple myeloma can develop skin rashes, but its rare and the rash may not directly signal changes with the disease. Jeffrey Zonder, M.D., hematologist, leader of the Multiple Myeloma and Amyloidosis Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and member of the Hematology Oncology MDT at Karmanos, described the types of infections that may cause these rashers and at what stage of the disease these skin changes may occur.
