As it’s known that lung cancer can be a secondary cancer following a head and neck cancer, multiple oncologists and researchers at Karmanos contributed to a study that takes a look at the risk level among African American patients compared to White patients. Their study titled, “African American race as a risk factor associated with a second primary lung cancer after initial primary head and neck cancer,” will be published in Head & Neck.
