Dr. Kalub Fedak is originally from Northern Michigan and
worked as a hospitalist at McLaren Northern Michigan immediately upon completion of his internal medicine residency. During this time, he appreciated many opportunities for leadership,
including a role as the program director for hospital medicine. He then pursued his dream to
become a hematologist/oncologist and completed fellowship at Karmanos Cancer Institute.
During this time, participated in research focused on novel strategies in the treatment of
relapsed and refractory Hodgkin lymphoma. Submitted for publication, this has resulted in
presentations at multiple annual national and international conferences, including the
American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and European
Hematology Association meetings. Currently, he serves as a member of the system-wide
McLaren Laboratory Advisory Group.
Dr. Fedak is focused in providing multidisciplinary medical
care to help patients and families comprehend and overcome illness. Outside of work, he enjoys travel, canoeing, golfing, hunting/fishing, other outdoor activities and music. He lives in
Petoskey with his a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy named Rosy, and two young
children.
