As a surgical oncologist, Dr. Kizy specializes in the surgical care of cancer patients. He works as a part of a multidisciplinary care team devoted to the treatment and cure of cancer. Being an oncology provider, Dr. Kizy values the long lasting relationships with patients and their family. He feels it is an honor to be a part of a patient's journey during this challenging time. Additionally, Dr. Kizy is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based, multidisciplinary cancer care to all patients. He pledges to care for all patients as if they were his own family. During his career, Dr. Kizy's primary research interests focused on understanding the biology of cancer cachexia. He has also studied the effects of gut bacteria on surgical outcomes and health. Lastly, he has experience studying cancer and surgery outcomes utilizing large datasets.
There was one detail in George Goetz’s tattoo that his wife had a big problem with. Amy Goetz was fixated on a mole near the center of the body art featuring Native American Chief Keokuk. “My wife always noticed the mole and said it was changing and that I should get it looked at,” George said.
