Nearby Airports

Bishop International Airport (FNT)

Just over four miles away, Bishop International Airport accommodates passengers looking to fly directly into Flint, Michigan. There are non-stop flights with Allegiant, American Airlines, Delta and United available through several major airports located in the south, east and Midwest areas of the country.

Directions from FNT:

1. Take Bristol Road to I-75 S.
2. Take Exit 117B to Miller Road and turn right.
3. Make a left at S. Ballenger Highway.
4. Continue north on S. Ballenger Highway. When you get to the hospital intersection, make a left onto Beecher Road.
5. McLaren Proton Therapy Center is located on the right, just pasted the intersection.

Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW)

80 miles south, Detroit Metro is the largest and busiest airport in Michigan. DTW receives over 1,100 flights per day. The airport is conveniently located near I-275 and I-94. Both interstates are options to travel as you begin your commute to Flint.

Directions from DTW:

From I-94 W – 80 miles

1. Merge onto I-94 W toward Chicago and continue for 17 miles.
2. Take exit 180B to merge onto US-23 N toward I-94 Ann Arbor.
3. Continue on US-23 for seven miles.
4. Get in one of the left two lanes and take exit US-23 W/Michigan 14 W exit toward Flint.
5. Merge onto US-23 N.
6. At the fork, keep right to stay on US-23 N.
7. Continue on US-23 N for 45 miles.
8. Merge onto I-75 N/US-23 N and continue for two miles.
9. Take Exit 117B to Miller Road and turn right.
10. Make a left at S. Ballenger Highway.
11. Continue north on S. Ballenger Highway. When you get to the hospital intersection, make a left onto Beecher Road.
12. McLaren Proton Therapy Center is located on the right, just past the intersection.

From I-275 N – 77 miles

1. Merge onto I-94 W toward Chicago and travel for almost three miles.
2. Take exit 194 and merge onto I-275 N toward Flint.
3. Continue on I-275 N for 21 miles.
4. Stay in the left two lanes and merge onto I-96 W.
5. Continue on I-96 W for 15 miles.
6. Take exit 147-148A-148B to merge onto US-23 N toward Flint.
7. Continue on US-23 N toward Flint for 21 miles.
8. Merge onto I-75 N/US-23 N and continue for two miles.
9. Take Exit 117B to Miller Road and turn right.
10. Make a left at S. Ballenger Highway.
11. Continue north on S. Ballenger Highway. When you get to the hospital intersection, make a left onto Beecher Road.
12. McLaren Proton Therapy Center is located on the right, just past the intersection.

Patients receiving proton therapy require treatment daily for approximately six to eight weeks. McLaren Hospitality House was designed with this in mind and provides easy access to treatment, support services and care for other medical needs.
